The American West of the late 1800's conjures up visions of fortunes being made and lost in the boom towns of the day. Gold, silver, copper, and lead were being mined, and everyone dreamed of striking it rich. In 1878, the mining boom was infull swing in Oro City, now known as Leadville. The town drew hopefuls from every walk of life, including 32 year old A.V. Hunter, who moved there to establish a bank, the very first in town.

What kind of assistance is available from Funds for One at the A.V. Hunter Trust?
Funding is available toward a wide range of durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, standing frames, braces, prostheses, and smaller items including hearing aids. Minor modifications to homes or vehicles owned by the Client (ramps, lifts, etc.) are also considered. In addition, four specific dental procedures are eligible: fillings, extractions, partials, and dentures.
What does not qualify for funding?
Just as if you were working with an insurance company, purchases or services must be preapproved by the A.V. Hunter Trust in order to be eligible for payment. The A.V. Hunter Trust cannot pay or reimburse vendors or dentists for equipment or services ordered or provided prior to notification of an award from Funds for One.
An individual may only receive assistance one time. If you have already received an award from the A.V. Hunter Trust, you are no longer eligible.
How does the system work?
Please read Step-by-Step for a self-guided tour through the application process.
How long does it take to receive a funding decision?
Funds for One is not an emergency response program. Due to the volume of applications received, the screening process can take up to six weeks. Complete, well-prepared applications take less time to process.
